Begin your exploration of Meteora by visiting the monasteries. There are six active monasteries to choose from, each offering a glimpse into the rich history, art, and religious traditions of the region. You can visit several monasteries, depending on their opening hours and your available time.

As you visit the monasteries, take in the magnificent panoramic views from the viewpoints and capture memorable photos of the unique landscape.

Enjoy a break for a delicious lunch in one of the local taverns in the nearby town of Kalambaka or Kastraki. Indulge in traditional Greek cuisine and savor the flavors of the region.

After lunch, consider exploring the surrounding area by taking a leisurely walk or hike. There are various trails that lead to viewpoints, hermit caves, and hidden gems amidst the stunning natural scenery. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water with you.
